Herbed Pork Chops in Mushroom Sauce

This is a quick and easy recipe that will taste like it took hours to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves or thyme leaves, crushed
  • 4 boneless pork chops, 3/4" thick each
  • 1 Tbs. vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 10 3/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup or 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 C. milk

Directions

Mix garlic powder, paprika and basil. Coat chops with garlic powder mixture. Heat oil in skillet. Add chops and cook until browned. Add onion and cook until tender. Add soup and milk. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 10 minutes or until done. Serve with rice.

Yield: 4 servings

  • Tried the recipe last night and it was very good. Next time I am going to try cubing the pork before it is cooked. Then you don't have to cut it over the rice
