Holiday Sauce

I have prepared several dishes that use a hollandaise sauce for a topping and found that there were occasions where I was pressed for time (or just flat too lazy to go the full Monty). So I came up with this sauce. The taste is great and the color was found to be appealing.

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbs. butter
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1/3 C. sour cream
  • pinch of tumeric for color
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Melt butter on low heat then add lemon juice, tumeric salt and pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow spices to work into the mix. Remove from heat and whisk in the sour cream. Serve imediately,
