  • 2 packages macaroni noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 3 cups shredded cheese
  • 4 medium sliced onions
  • ¼ cup chopped red bell pepper

Cook pasta in pot following directions printed on the package. After pasta has cooked well, drain it and return pot. In a separate sauce pan over low heat, melt butter. Add in flour, salt, mustard, and pepper and mix well. Cook mixture on low heat for 20 seconds. Take mixture off of the heat and stir in half and half. Return saucepan to stove and cook over medium heat until mixture boils. Don’t forget to stir mixture occasionally. Add in cheese and keep stirring until cheese has melted. Add pasta to sauce along with the onions and bell peppers. Stir and blend mac and cheese until mac and cheese until it is hot and ready to serve.
