  • 6 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, sliced
  • 2 T. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 3/4 C. old-fashioned oats
  • 3/4 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 C. butter, cold

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Take out a medium bowl and toss the apples together with the white sugar and 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon until evenly coated. When finished, transfer the apples into a 9-inch square baking dish. Take out a separate bowl and combine the brown sugar, oats, flour, and remaining cinnamon. Mash the butter into the oats mixture using 2 forks until the mixture forms a crumb-like appearance. Evenly spread the oats-butter mixture over the apples. This mixture should reach the edges of the baking dish. Once it is evenly applied, bake the crisp in your oven for 40 minutes, which is around how long it should take for the dessert to be golden brown and bubbly. Serve.
