Make this caramel-coated treat for your next movie night! For crunchier popcorn, bake the baking sheet for 45 minutes at 200 degrees, but if you can't wait, this version only takes 5 minutes!

  • 6 C. popped popcorn
  • 2 Tbs. light karo syrup
  • 1/2 C. brown sugar
  • 4 Tbs. salted butter, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper. Pop the popcorn and pour into a large bowl. Remove any un-popped kernels. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the karo, brown sugar, and butter. Microwave for 30 seconds, remove, and stir well. Microwave again for 2 minutes, remove, and stir well. Microwave for another 2 minutes, remove, and stir in baking soda and vanilla. It will bubble and fizz and pour immediately over the popcorn. Stir to coat.

Pour the popcorn onto the baking sheet and spread into one layer to cool.
