Homemade Cinnamon Churros

- 1 C water
- 1 ½ Tbs sugar
- 1 C all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 C cinnamon sugar
Prepare the cinnamon sugar in a bowl and set aside. Line a baking tray with some paper towels.
Take a saucepan and stir the water, sugar, salt and 2 Tbs of oil on medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil then take it off the heat. Gradually stir in the flour until a ball is formed.
Prepare a pot for deep frying.
Prepare a piping bag with a star nozzle at the end and fill the bag with the churro dough.
The carefully pipe 6 inches of the dough over the hot oil. Use kitchen scissors or a knife to cut it off.
Pipe in 2-3 churros at a time. Allow the dough to fry for about 2-3 minutes or until it looks golden brown. Remove and set on the paper towels.
Repeat until you reach the end of the dough.
While it is still hot, toss the churros into the bowl of cinnamon sugar. Coat it entirely with the sugar.
Plate and serve!
