This is a lovely recipe for a homemade ice cream made in coffee cans! This recipe is a sweet treat for all.

  • 2 C. ice
  • 2 C. heavy cream
  • 1 C. kosher salt
  • 1 C. sugar
  • Required: 2 coffee cans, one small, one large

Mix the heavy cream, sugar, salt and vanilla. Pour the mixture into the smaller coffee can and then put the smaller can into the larger can. Cover with kosher salt and ice. Put on the top of can and roll for 20 minutes.

  • This is concerning the recipe for the ice cream that you make in the 2 coffee cans. Do you put the 1 cup of kosher salt in the mixture or use it to cover the cans ?
