  • 1 dough for doughnuts, uncooked
  • 2 c. of jelly, or any jam
  • 2 quarts of vegetable oil
  • 1 c. of sugar

Cut dough into rounds with a floured cookie cutter . Place jelly in the center of the rounds, top with remaining rounds. Heat oil in deep fryer, fry one layer of doughnuts at a time. Remove from oil, drain and toss with sugar, or any preferred topping. Place doughnuts at a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve.
