There is nothing more refreshing in the summer months than ice cold lemon sorbet! It cools you off and gives you some much needed energy on those hot pool days. This homemade lemon sorbet is a quick and easy recipe and can be stored for up to a month, so it will make a delicious treat on any summer day!

  • 2 C. water
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 2 C. lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1-2 Tbs. lemon zest, freshly grated, to taste

Take a small saucepan and mix the sugar and water and heat the mixture over medium flame
Let the sugar dissolve completely. It will take about 1-2 minutes
Afterwards, let the mixture cool for some time, and then add the lemon zest and the lemon juice
Transfer into an ice cream maker and freeze for three hours
Once the sherbet is frozen, transfer it into a sealed container, and freeze
