Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 2 Tbs. flour
  • 1 C. milk
  • 8 oz. Velveeta, cubed
  • 1 C. shredded Mexican Blend cheese
  • 1 tsp. homemade taco seasoning
  • Taco Seasoning:
  • 4 Tbs. chili powder
  • 4 Tbs. ground cumin
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano

Directions

To make the taco seasoning, mix all the spices in a bowl and transfer to an airtight resealable container. Reserve 1 tsp. taco seasoning for cheese dip.

In a crockpot, combine all the ingredients and turn the heat to high. Cook for 30 minutes on high, stirring frequently to combine and make sure it doesn't burn. Turn the heat to warm setting when smooth.
