  • 1/2 C. white sugar
  • 1/4 C. corn syrup
  • 1/2 C. heavy cream
  • 2 Tbs. margarine, salted
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • Plastic wrap

Mix sugar and corn syrup in heavy saucepan. Bring to boil and shake pan gently to avoid burning sugar. Wait until mixture turns into a dark yellow-orange color. Heat cream in microwave for 20 seconds. Remove sugar mixture from heat and whisk in cream while stirring. Return to heat. Add margarine and vanilla. Bring to a boil and heat to 250 degrees F until melted. Pour mixture on baking dish and wait until firm. Cut into bars and wrap with plastic wrap.
