  • 2 ½ lbs. peeled potatoes
  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ C. water
  • 1 C. vegetable oil (for frying)

Cut your potatoes into French fries and place them into cold water so they don’t shrivel. Heat your vegetable oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat, and while the oil is heating, sift all the dry ingredients into a bowl, then stir in the water. Dip your French fries together into the batter one at a time, and place them in the hot oil. When they’re golden and brown, remove them and drain on paper towels.
