Homemade Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (28 oz. each) crushed tomatoes with Italian herbs, undrained
  • 1 6-oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 lg. onion, chopped
  • 8 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbs. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. dried basil leaves
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 24 oz. uncooked spaghetti
  • 1/2 c. shredded Parmesan cheese, if desired

Directions

In slow cooker, mix all ingredients except spaghetti and cheese. Cover; cook on Low heat 8 to 10 hours. Cook and drain spaghetti as directed on package. Serve sauce over spaghetti. Sprinkle with cheese if desired.
