Serving Size / Yield
- 4 Tbs. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 C. cornmeal
- 2 Tbs. vegetable oil
- 1 C. flour
- 1 egg (slightly beaten)
- 1 C. milk
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Place oil in pan or a cast iron skillet and heat in the over while mixing other ingredients.
Place all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix.
Add milk until batter is thick, like pancake batter.
Remove pan/skillet from over carefully and pour oil into the batter.
Place batter into the pan/skillet and return to the oven.
Bake 25-30 minutes.
