Homestyle Grape Jelly
Serving Size / Yield
- 5 cups juice from squeezed grapes
- 1 cup fresh grapes
- 2 T. pectin
- 7 C. sugar
In a large pot over medium high heat boil grape juice with pectin mixed in. Leave on heat for 5 minutes or until juice starts to thicken. Add in sugar and fresh grapes and boil 5 minutes longer.
Equally distribute grape jelly into jar using a ladel. Wipe sides of the jars clean and secure lids tightly. If you are not planning on using the jelly right away process the jam. To process the jars put in a large pot and cover with water. Bring the water to a boil for 5 minutes. Remove jars from hot water and make sure the lids pop down. Put processed jars in the fridge for at least 10 minutes to cool before serving.
