Homestyle Roast Beef

- 3 lbs boneless rump roast
- 1 cup dark soy sauce
- 1 bottle dark beer
- 5 garlic cloves
- 2 Tbs vegetable oil
Preheat the oven to 375 F.
In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, beer, salt, pepper and vegetable oil together.
With a sharp knife, make tiny incisions in the roast and then place it in a big enough baking tray. Stuff the garlic cloves into the incisions.
Pour the marinade over the beef making sure that the meat is well coated.
Allow the roast to cook for about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. At intervals, rotate the meat to ensure even cooking.
After it is done, place the meat on a cutting board and let it sit for 1 minute. Then using a sharp knife, carefully cut the meat into even slices and serve.
Meat is best server with a side of roasted vegetables, mash potatoes, baked beans or coleslaw.
