  • 2 lbs. red apples
  • 2 lbs. peaches
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ¾ C. sugar
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 package of refrigerated piecrusts
  • 1 egg white

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel apples and peaches. Cut into ½ inch thick wedges. Toss apples and peaches with cinnamon and sugar. In a 10-inch cast-iron skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir constantly for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and place 1 of the pie crusts over the brown sugar. Pour apples and peaches, excluding a few, on top of piecrust and cover with additional pie crust. Brush top of pie crust with egg white. Slit the top of pie crust. Place remaining apples and peaches on top. Bake for 1 hour or until golden brown. Cool for at least 30-45 minutes before serving
