Honey Wheat Bread
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast or 2 1/2 tsp.
- 2 1/4 C. bread flour
- 3/4 C. whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 C. butter milk or sour milk (see note)
- 3 Tbs. honey
- 1 Tbs. butter (not margarine)
- 1/2 C. warm water
Directions
Add yeast to your bread-maker first, then all others in order. Leave water until last. Bake according to manufacturer's instructions for basic white bread with medium crust.
Note: If you need to make sour milk: add 1 Tbs. of vinegar or lemon juice to regular milk. Mix and let stand 5 minutes before using in recipe.
