  • 2 C. + 2 tsp. flour, divided
  • Dash salt
  • 2/3 C. butter, softened
  • 6 T. cold water
  • 4 apples, cored, peeled, and diced
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg
  • ¼ C. sugar
  • ¼ C. brown sugar

Preheat of 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in butter and add water as needed. Form dough into a ball, cover, and refrigerate while preparing filling. In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and brown sugar until well coated. Roll out dough, cut out circles and line ramekin bottoms and sides. Top dough with filling and cover with another circle of dough. Bake for 45 minutes until bubbly. Cover crust with foil if too brown.
