  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 4 med. green peppers - chopped (3 C.)
  • 2 med. Red peppers - chopped (1-1/2 C.)
  • 4 med. onions, chopped
  • 2 C. brewed strong coffee
  • 1 C. cider vinegar
  • 1-1/2 C. kectup
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. ground Cayenne pepper
  • 14-16 hot dog or hamburger buns split and toasted

In a 4-quart Dutch oven cook ground beef, green and red peppers, and onion until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat. Stir in coffee and vinegar. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, over medium heat for 30 to 40 minutes or until liquid is almost all evaporated, stirring occasionally.Stir in kectup, chili powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Cook and stir for 10 to 15 minutes more or until desired consistency. To serve, spoon meat mixture into buns.

Yields: 14-16 Servings.
