  • 8 cups chicken stock
  • ½ cup egg substitute
  • ½ cup julienned bamboo shoot
  • ¼ cup sliced water chestnut
  • ¾ cup julienned carrot
  • 1 cup straw mushroom
  • 1 diced package cake tofu
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • ¼ pound julienned pork
  • 2 tablespoons red chile paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ¾ teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons water

Bring the chicken stock to a boil and add the soy sauce, pork, chile paste, and mushrooms. Cook for 10 minutes before adding the pepper, vinegar, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and tofu. Simmer for 5 more minutes. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water. Add the cornstarch mix to the pot. Bring the pot back to a boil and add the egg without stirring for 10 seconds. Stir in the sesame oil and serve.
