Ingredients

  • 8 Bread rolls
  • 8 oz. chopped ham
  • 8 shallots or small spring onions
  • 8 oz. grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbs. milk,
  • 2 oz. butter
  • 4 Tbs. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbs. prepared mustard
  • Salt and pepper
  • Extra butter

Directions

Cut bread rolls in half, gently pull out soft center. Chop roughly and put into bowl with chopped ham, shallots, grated cheese. Put milk and butter in saucepan, melt butter over low heat, and add mayonnaise and mustard. Add to dry ingredients, mix well. Spoon mixture evenly into the 8 roll bases. Put tops back on. Brush remaining butter over the top of the 8 rolls. Bake in 325 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.
