Hot Garlic Cheese Bread
- 1 8 oz. pkg. Polly-O Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 C. (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbs. chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 lb. Italian bread loaf
Mix all ingredients except bread. Slice bread loaf at 3/4-in. intervals almost to bottom of loaf, being careful to not cut all the way through loaf. Spread 1 side of each bread slice with cheese mixture. Wrap in foil. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve hot.
Variation: Substitute 1/2 tsp. garlic powder and 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves for garlic cloves and fresh parsley.
