This margarita recipe was created by Manny Hinojosa exclusively for The Perfect Purée of Napa Valley. His spicy recipe uses Perfect Purée Tamarind puree - a perfect mix of sweet and tart flavors - Orgeat syrup (a French almond syrup), agave nectar for sweetness, as well as tequila and lime juice. Rim the glass with a mix of salt and Cajun pepper for a kick with every sip.

  • 1 1/2 oz. Tequila Cazadores Blanco
  • 1/2 oz. Orgeat Syrup
  • 1 oz. Perfect Purée Tamarind Puree, thawed
  • 1/2 oz. lime juice
  • 3/4 oz. agave nectar
  • 3 dashes of Cajun pepper
  • salt for rimming

Rim a glass with salt and Cajun pepper. Set aside.  Add all other ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice, shake, and strain over fresh ice into rimmed glass. Garnish with a dash of salt and Cajun pepper.
