Ingredients

  • 2 cups canned chickpeas, liquid reserved
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin or paprika
  • 1 lemon
  • Chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • Chips of your choice (Pita or tortilla)

Directions

Place all ingredients, except the parsley, into a food processor and begin to process; add the water from the chickpea liquid or water as needed to allow the machine to produce a smooth puree.
Taste and adjust the seasoning to your liking. When mixed, pour on a bowl, drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkled with a bit more cumin or paprika and some parsley
