  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 C. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 lb. grated ricotta cheese
  • 2 C. grated mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 (26 oz.) cans spaghetti sauce, divided
  • 1 (12 oz.) box oven-ready lasagna noodles, uncooked

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Take out a bowl and mix together the egg, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, ricotta cheese and 1 cup mozzarella cheese. Set the cheese mixture aside. Use a large skillet to cook the beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is done and then get rid of any excess grease. Add the water and all but 1 cup of spaghetti sauce to the beef. Take out a 9x13-inch pan and pour the 1 cup of spaghetti sauce into the bottom of it.

Add 6 lasagna noodles over the sauce. You can overlap the noodles if they don't fit. Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles and then add a third of the beef mixture over the cheeses. Repeat this layering process 1 more time. Add 6 noodles and then top with the remaining beef mixture. Cover and bake in your preheated oven for 50 minutes. Sprinkle any remaining mozzarella cheese on top when finished, let the lasagna rest for 5 minutes and then serve.
