This dessert may be messy, but it is worth it! It's loaded with chocolate, gooey marshmallows, and evokes the best summer memories all year long. If your pie doesn't come out nicely, dig in with a spoon!

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1 3/4 C. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/4 sticks butter, melted
  • Filling:
  • 1 C. heavy cream
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 10 oz. semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 bag marshmallows

In a bowl, stir together the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the crumbs into a crust in the bottom and up the sides of a greased crockpot. In a saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream. Heat over low. Once it begins to simmer, remove from the heat and add the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is all melted. Whisk in the sugar and salt. In another bowl, lightly beat the two eggs then slowly add them to the chocolate mixture, while continuously whisking. Pour the chocolate into the crust. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours. Check back every 30 minutes until the chocolate is no longer liquid. Once the chocolate is no longer liquid, remove the insert from the crockpot base. Pile the tart with marshmallows. You can either put the insert under a low broiler to brown the marshmallows, or use a kitchen torch. Let cool for 1 to 2 hours before serving.
