Hold onto summer for a bit longer with this homemade frozen dessert that calls for only five ingredients and takes a couple of minutes to assemble!

Ingredients

  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 C. water
  • 24 oz. fresh plums
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tsp. vodka or your liquor of choice

Directions

Create a simple syrup by bringing the sugar and water up to a boil until the sugar dissolves. Cool and throw into a food processor, along with plums and lemon juice. Blend until smooth. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the skin and then onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Freeze, then break the frozen puree into chunks and and blend again in the food processor, for the ultimate smooth consistency. Serve immediately, in bowls, garnished with mint leaves.
