Inside Out Stuffed Green Peppers

This is so much faster and easier than stuffed peppers. It tastes fantastic.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 C. chopped onion
  • 1 16 oz. can stewed tomatoes, cut up
  • 1-3 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 C. uncooked long grain rice
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 C. (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
  • Garlic (optional)
  • Cumin (optional)

Directions

In a skillet, brown beef, drain. Transfer to a greased 2 qt. casserole. Add the next 8 ingredients. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until rice is tender. Uncover and sprinkle with the cheese. Return to the oven until cheese melts, about 4-5 minutes.
