  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ½ a pound of ground beef sirloin
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup green cabbage, shredded
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • A pinch of salt and pepper for taste
  • All-purpose flour, for rolling
  • 1 piecrust (9 inches), store-bought

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
In a medium saucepan, add oil, Worcestershire, and beef and cook over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Add the cabbage and mix in with the beef. Mix in the tomato sauce and season with salt and pepper. Then let the mixture cool completely.
On a lightly floured work surface, roll each crust into a 14-inch square. Next, cut each square into 4 equal squares. Place a 1/2 cup of filling on one half of each square and make sure to leave a 1/2-inch border around the filling. Brush the borders of the dough with water. Then fold the dough over the filling to enclose it. Crimp the edges of the dough with a fork to seal it. Cut 3 small vents in each pie with scissors.
Transfer the pies to foil-lined rimmed baking sheets and bake the pies until they develop a golden brown color.
Let them cool and serve!
