Italian Bean Soup

Ingredients
- 1 Tbs. leaf lard
- 1/8 lb. salt pork, finely chopped
- 1 med. onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, peeled and cut into pieces
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 qt. warm water
- 2 C. cooked white beans
- 1 C. elbow macaroni
Directions
Melt lard in a saucepan. Add chopped salt pork, onion, garlic, celery and browl well. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, warm water and beans. Cook for 5 minutes. Add macaroni and cook for 8 more minutes. Serve.
