Two classic Italian dishes have been combined into one cheesy and rich casserole. Enjoy this bed of rotini, pasta sauce, and Italian sausage covered with cheese and veggie toppings. We suggest sprinkling this dish with green onions before serving.

  • 1 Tbs. Olive Oil
  • 1 lb. Bulk Mild Italian Sausage
  • 1 Medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 Garlic Clove, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. Dried Basil
  • 1 26 oz. jar Spaghetti Sauce
  • 12 oz. Rotini Pasta, cooked and drained
  • 3 C. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, divided
  • 1 Small Tomato, sliced
  • 1/4 C. Baby Bella Mushrooms, sliced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13" baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Warm up the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned. Stir in the onions, garlic, oregano, and basil, and continue cooking until onions are tender and garlic is fragrant. Drain meat mixture. Stir in the spaghetti sauce, pasta, and 1 1/2 cups of cheese. Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle the dish with the remaining mozzarella. Arrange slices of tomato and mushroom on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through.
