Italian Pizza Burger

- 2 lbs. ground beef or sausage meat
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 C. pepperoni, chopped
- 2 Tbs. green or black olives, sliced
- 1/2 C. pizza sauce
- 6 slices mozzarella cheese, sliced in half
Heat the grill. Combine the meat and salt in a medium bowl and shape into 6 round balls. Press your thumb into the center of each being careful not to poke all the way through.
In another bowl, mix together the pepperoni, olives and a 1/3 of a cup of the pizza sauce. Spoon 2 tablespooons of this mixture onto each meat ball and seal the edges. Flatten the balls out into patties and throw on the grill. Continue to cook for 8-12 minutes. Before the last 2 minutes of cooking time, spoon on the rest of the pizza sauce on top of each patty along with the cheese. Allow the cheese to melt and then serve.
