This is not your everyday banana pudding. It has a smooth, velvety touch that sets it apart from other banana puddings. My little boys love this dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1 lg. box instant vanilla pudding
  • 3 C. cold milk (for pudding)
  • 1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, room temprature
  • 1 8-oz. tub whipped topping, room temprature
  • 1 box vanilla wafers (can substitue graham crackers)
  • 6-8 medium bananas

Directions

Mix cream cheese and whipped topping with a hand mixer until creamy - this may take up to 5 minutes. If these ingredients are not room temperature when you mix them, the mix will be slightly lumpy. Next, mix the vanilla pudding according to the package directions in the same bowl with the cream cheese/whipped topping mixture. Slowly combine both on low speed with the hand mixer until you have a very smooth pudding mixture. Prep a 9x13 pan by placing a layer of vanilla wafers on the bottom. Next cut 3-4 bananas in small slices and layer over vanilla wafers. Top bananas with 1/2 of the pudding mixture and repeat banana/pudding layers. Top entire dish with remaing vanilla wafers. Chill overnight.
