Jam Filled Croissant Cookies
Serving Size / Yield
- 5 ½ cups All Purpose Flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 pack shortening, room temperature
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 cube yeast
- ½ tsp. flour
- jam of your choice
- Powdered Sugar
In a sauce pan, mix together milk, sugar, yeast, and 1 tsp. of flour until heated.
Set aside and let rise.
Mix the 5 1/2 cups of flour, eggs, and shortening together.
Add the rising mixture to the bowl and knead the dough.
Separate dough into 8 or 9 pieces and begin rolling into balls.
Flour a surface and lay dough ball on top.
Roll out the dough flat into a circle and cut into 12 triangle shaped pieces.
Put jam on the widest part of each piece and roll like a croissant.
Place cookies on parchment paper lined or greased pan.
Continue making cookies until all of them are on the tray.
Let rise for a while.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake cookies for 20 minutes.
Mix sugar and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix cookies in it.
