Ingredients

  • 1 green peppers, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 onions, chopped
  • 1 celery stalks, chopped
  • 3/4 cups butter
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/12 pounds smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cups uncooked long grain brown rice
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh chopped tomatoes
  • 3/4 cups chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
  • 1 1/2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbs hot sauce
  • 1/4 tbs salt
  • 1/4 tbs pepper

Directions

In a large skillet cook sausage until browned.  In the same pan add and saute the the peppers, onion, celery in butter until the outside is lightly crisped.  Then add the garlic and cook for about 2 more minues.  Place in a large bowl and stir in all the remaining ingredients.  Pull out your large casserole dish and cover.  Bake this dish at 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes.  Pull out your casserole and stir to thorughly mix up all your ingredients.
