This is a moist easy-to-make cake. This cake is even better the next day if there is any left! Taste can be varied by using many of the Jell-O flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix
  • 1 small pkg. Jell-O (your choice)
  • 1 8-oz. container Cool Whip

Directions

Using a 9x13-inch baking dish (glass or metal), bake cake according to package directions. As soon as the cake is done, make the Jell-O according to package directions. Poke holes in top of warm cake and pour hot Jell-O over the cake letting it soak in. Cool in refrigerator for several hours. Spread Cool Whip over top of cake.

You can vary this cake. Try lemon cake mix with lemon Jell-O or strawberry cake mix with strawberry Jell-O. Be creative.
