Upgrade from your usual beef sliders. The marinade has great flavor and makes the steak tender and juicy. These bite-sized sandwiches are simple but a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb.) hanger steak
  • 2 green bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 medium red onion, julienned sliced
  • 12 slices of Provolone cheese
  • 12 slider buns
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • Marinade
  • 3 Tbs. olive oil
  • 3 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbs. apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 ½ tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp. paprika

Directions

Whisk all of the marinade ingredients together. Place the hanger steaks in a plastic bag coated with the mixture and let them marinate for at least 2 hours. Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat. Once it’s hot, throw in the butter and steaks. Cook them until they are medium-rare (or to your liking). In the same skillet, toss in the peppers and onion and saute them for 5-6 minutes. Assemble the sliders.
