This is a meal in itself for very little money. It's a quick, and budget-friendly recipe, and good for you as well! I hope it doesn't disappoint others. Bon appétit folks!

  • 3 C. Eden Organic Kamut Spirals
  • 1 lb. hickory smoked polska kielbasa
  • 1 15-oz. can sweet peas
  • 1 14.5-oz. can tiny tender sliced carrots
  • 1 8-oz. bag Kraft Mexican Finely Shredded Four-Cheese Blend
  • 4 Tbs. margarine
  • 1 C. fat-free milk
  • 1 spray of butter flavored spray
  • 1 Tbs. canola oil
  • 1 onion, to taste
  • 1 pinch garlic powder, to taste

Start the water to boil, and make the spirals like macaroni and cheese. In a separate pan, add butter flavored spray, and canola oil. Cut the kielbasa in 1/2 the long way, then cut in slices. Add to pan until lightly browned. Remove from heat. Drain pasta, add margarine, milk, and shredded cheese until creamy. Heat the peas and carrots in the microwave until warm, about 1 1/2 minutes each. Transfer pasta to large bowl. Add other ingredients as well. You can add some onion and garlic powder to taste. Sprinkle a little extra shredded cheese on top, and serve.
