Beer cheese is unheard of in most places. In Kentucky, it is almost a staple item. I have tried several brands in the grocery store and different recipes. This one is THE BEST I have eaten. Try it, you love it!! Serve with your favorite crackers or some veggies (carrots, celery, or cauliflower).

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. box Velveeta Cheese, room temperature
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 C. mayonnaise
  • 7-8 oz. beer

Directions

Cut cheese in small pieces. Place in a large bowl. Add the spices and mix with an electric mixer until smooth. Add 7 oz. of the beer and continue mixing. If needed, add the next ounce of beer and mix until completely smooth. Add extra Tabasco sauce if you like it really hot.

  • My daughter kindly informed me that I forgot to tell when to add the Mayo. Sorry about that. I put all the spices in the Mayo and add to the cheese.
