This pecan pie has an added twist--bourbon and chocolate!

Ingredients

  • pie crust
  • 2/3 C. sugar
  • 1/3 C. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 C. corn syrup
  • 2 Tbs. bourbon
  • 1 6-oz. bag semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 lg. eggs
  • 1 C. pecan halves or broken pecans

Directions

Heat oven to 375 degrees.

In medium bowl, beat sugar butter, corn syrup,bourbon, salt and eggs with wire whisk or hand beater until well blended. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips. Pour into pie shell.  Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until center is set. Serve warm or cold.
