This Korean sauced beef recipe came from my friend Josh who moved to Korea about 2 years ago. There it is called bulgogi, and it was his first meal when he arrived. He still can't get enough of it.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. round or sirloin beef
  • 1 sm. onion
  • 2/3 Tbs. minced garlic
  • 1/3 C. Kikkoman soy sauce
  • 2 Tbs sugar
  • 2 Tbs. chopped green onion
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger, minced

Directions

Slice beef 1 inch by 1 inch and 1/4 inch thick. Mix with soy sauce, sugar, garlic, onion, green onion, sesame oil and black pepper. Keep it in the refrigerator for 2 hours or up to a half day. Broil it in oven until well done or use frying pan with a sprinkle of water until well done and serve.
