Start out with a layer of cabbage along the bottom of the dish (a glass baking dish work great) and then add a layer of the meat mixture. Continue layering until dish is full. Top it off with 3 slices of bacon. Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, just until bacon is cooked and the entree is nice and bubbly. It can be served with boiled potatoes or alone. If you want to add tomato sauce, that is an option. I personally don't care for tomato sauce on it.

  • The meat mixture consists of whatever you usually make your favorite meatloaf recipe out of;. I use only 1 med. minced onion, add minced garlic, grill seasoning & worcestershire sauce to taste. This is a very good recipe. I also add layers of bottled chili sauce, thinly slice potatoes & carrots, 1/2 cup of beef broth before my last layer of chili sauce & omit the bacon. With a side salad & favorite bread, you can't go wrong! My family loves it!

  • What does the meat mixture consist of? Is it the onion, salt, pepper, egg and bread crumbs?
