Nothing says summer like a cold, refreshing, savory treat! Try this quick and easy recipe, you can use this recipe to make lemon-lime popsicles or even paper cup coolers. Feel free to mix things up and add your own ingredients to make it your very own special treat.

Serving Size / Yield

8-10 popsicles/cups


  • 3/4 C. granulated sugar
  • 3 C. water
  • 1/4 C. lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 C. lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Take a small sauce pan and combine all the ingredients listed above
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat
Boil for about 10 minutes
Stir occasionally to let the sugar dissolve
Remove the container off the heat and transfer the pan into the refrigerator to cool the mixture
You may consider transferring the juice into a separate pan before refrigerating since a hot pan may harm the refrigerator, especially one with glass shelves
Distribute the juice into the paper cups or popsicle molds
Insert the sticks (in case of popsicles) and cover the molds/cups with lids/foils
Freeze for 3-4 hours
