Lemon Teriyaki Glazed Chicken

An interesting recipe that you must try and taste. This is no ordinary lemon chicken because it has a blast of the sweet flavor of teriyaki.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. lemon juice
  • 1/2 C. soy sauce
  • 1/4 C. sugar
  • 3 Tbs. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbs. water
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 4 bone-in chicken breasts

Directions

Combine all sauce ingredients and pour over chicken breasts in a glass dish. Marinate for 2 hours in refrigerator. Remove from refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake marinated chicken for 1 hour and 15 minutes, basting every 15 minutes with liquid already in the pan (be careful NOT to use extra marinade that touched the raw chicken!) and turning chicken once. Marinade will reduce to a thickened sauce which should be served over the chicken when done.

  • It was very tasty. It was easy to prepare and my family loved it. The only change I made was to add a little cornstarch to the sauce at the end to thicken it.
