Linguine with Pesto

Ingredients
- 1 C. basil leaves, rinsed and dried
- 1/4 C. fresh parsley, rinsed and dried
- 2 Tbs. blanched almonds
- 1 garlic clove
- salt
- 1/3 C. virgin olive oil
- 1 lb. linguine
- 1/2 C. grated parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbs. butter, softened
Directions
Chop the basil and parsley with almonds, garlic ad a pinch of salt in a food processor. Gradually add in oil and blend until smooth. Bring 4 qts. water to a boil in a large pot. Add 2 Tbs. salt, then pasta. Make sure all of the pasta is covered with water. Stir well. Cook until pasta is al dente then drain the pasta. Put the pasta in a large heated serving bowl. Add pesto, cheese and butter. Toss well and serve.
