  • 3/4 C. flour
  • 2 Tbs. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3/4 C. water

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl, add water and stir until the batter has a smooth consistency. Dip the chicken or fish in the mixture and tap off the excess. Line them up on a plate, cover and refrigerate for up to an hour.This step will give planks that crispy crust and juicy interior. Heat oil between 360 and 375. Deep fry on each side until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle with salt, while warm and serve with fries and ketchup.
