  • 3/4 C. of flour
  • 2 tbsp. of cornstarch
  • 1/4 baking soda
  • 1/4 of baking powder
  • 1/4 of salt
  • 1 C. of water
  • 1 lb fish fillets, de-bone
  • vegetable oil
  • 5 potatoes,peeled and sliced

Directions

Sift dry flour with cornstarch, baking soda and baking powder together to make a batter. Add water and mix it well. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Dip fillets into the batter until completely coated. Fry each fillet for 10 minutes on each side until its browned. For the chips, fry the potatoes in vegetable oil until golden brown. Sprinkle salt over the chips and fish to taste.
