Create the most dense and delicious pound cake imaginable, but don't expect it to last long.

  • 1 lb. Margarine at room temperature (do not use butter)
  • 3 C. sugar
  • 3/4 C. milk
  • 6 extra large eggs
  • 4 C. sifted cake flour
  • 1 tsp. vanillla

 Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Cream together the margarine and sugar. Add milk. Add sifted flour and eggs, alternating so that they are incorporated in 3 batches. Add vanilla.

Pour into a large round angel food pan that has not been greased. Bake for 1 1/4 to 1/ 1/2 hours. The top should have a crack in it. Remove from pan when cool.
