Low Fat Lasagna

I came up with this recipe myself. I wanted a lasagna recipe that was lower in fat than most. My family peferes mine for taste over all others.

  • 1 8 oz. pkg. 3 cheese pizza mix
  • 1/2 C. Parmesan cheese, divided in half
  • 1 small tub non-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 lb. browned ground sirloin
  • 1 box no-bake lasagne noodles

Mix cheeses together except 1/4 C. parmesan in a medium-size bowl and set aside. Spray lasagne pan with olive oil spray or wipe with olive oil. Layer ingredients as follows:


Lasagne noodles

Cheese mixture

Ground beef sparingly

Make 3 layers and cover with foil to bake. Bake until bubbling throughout (about 50 minutes at 425 degrees). Uncover and sprinkle remaining parmesan cheese on top. Return to oven to brown (10-15 minutes). When brown, remove from oven and let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Serve with garlic bread and salad.
